2011 Mayor's Luncheon is Thursday, May 5 with Guest Speaker Monica Knight, author and transformational speaker. Program is 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., at the Sky Centre, Living Sky Casino, 1401 North Service Road East, Swift Current. Tickets are $35 per person ($20 tax deductible receipt). All proceeds go to support the local branch of CMHA. For tickets call 778-2440, or drop by CMHA Swift Current at 176 - 4th Ave NW.
The Jimmy Richardson Walk for Wellness is Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Elmwood Park. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., with the 1 km walk along the pathway starting at 11:00. Following the walk there is a free lunch for all participants at the Centre, 176 - 4th Ave NW. (Extra food tickets may be purchased.) All money raised goes toward supporting the activities and food program at the Drop-In Centre. For information and registration, call Helen at 778-2440.
